About Mark Garfinkel
His pictures speak of Boston because he is part of Boston. Growing up on the rugged Eastern, MA coast, Mark learned about the beauty of light and the serenity of the New England landscape at a young age. He has taken these lessons to new heights with his new venture, pictureboston.com. The front page of this site is a photo of the Leonard P. Zakim Bunker Hill Bridge with lightning all around. In fact, during any given thunderstorm Mark can be seen nestled under shelter with his tripod trying to get the ultimate Boston lightning photo without getting zapped.
As a child Mark lived underneath an active Logan Airport flight path, which probably did more to stoke his interest in aviation photography than anything else. This interest has made Mark one of the most sought after aviation photographers in the world. His work has graced the websites of Fortune 500 airplane makers’ and local businesses such as Cape Air airlines.

Please enjoy his truly unique and local site.
