South Boston Bark Park’s annual Halloween party went off without a hitch yesterday, prior to the region’s surprise snowfall. Prizes were given to the most creative looking dog. The Bark Park is located at the intersection of Columbia road and Day Boulevard. In my top photo, from left, Tucker and his buddy Kiely, dressed as a lion, frolicked at the party. My bottom photo shows sisters, Nora and Cocoa.

MA. Governor Deval Patrick Makes a Quiet Visit to Occupy Boston.
by markadmin Posted: Sunday, 10/16/2011Thanks to a Twitter Tweet that I had monitored, I was one of only 2 media photographers at Occupy Boston when Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick showed up for a “quiet” visit. There were no tv cameras and only one or two reporters on hand for the unannounced visit. Here are my photos below.
I photographed the magic hour of Monday night’s sunset. To the left of me was the moon and a departing Logan jetliner, and to the right of me was a high altitude transatlantic jet exiting the US east coast. The origin of that flight is unknown, but definitely not Logan.
Did you look up and notice how pronounced these jet contrails were today. Check my photo below.
Boston firefighter Michael Browne, in top photo, checks on an injured Cooper Hawk that caused quite a
scene this afternoon outside of the Langham Hotel on Boston’s Franklin St. The Hawk, at one point, was
perched atop a Langham awning. The Hawk was removed by Boston animal control. See my photos below.
