On This Date in My Photo History: April 8, 2007

(04/08/07-Saugus,MA) North Shore “landmark” toppled. The orange dinosaur at Route One Miniature Golf,  that has greeted route 1 drivers and golfers alike, sits toppled after an Easter weekend act of vandalism. Shot on assignment for the Herald.

On This Date In My Photo History, April 7, 2009……

(04/07/09-Boston,MA) Stolen Duckling!! The empty spot where Pack, the second-to-last of the eight ducklings in the Public Garden sculpture, used to occupy. The famous duckling was later found on a Beacon Hill street.

Dolphin Strands Itself on Revere Beach

This dolphin, who was found swimming in 8 inches of water, was helped by the New England Aquarium’s rescue team and by longtime Revere Beach resident Carmine Zingariello, who donned a skin tight body suit and comforted the dolphin in the chilly Atlantic waters. (04/06/06-Boston, MA) At the Ritz Carlton this night is….Actress Meryl Streep. Streep was on hand to present Deborah Morosini MD, of Weston and sister of Dana Reeve, The N.E Regional SpinalCord Injury Ctr’s Courage and Caring Award.  I was on assignment for the Boston Herald’s Inside Track.

A friendly Matt Damon Appreciates the Charles Hotel Help.

I found actor Matt Damon, Easter morning, at the Charles Hotel. He was posing for photos with the doormen at Cambridge’s Charles Hotel. Matt was in town to attend a memorial for his buddy, Howard Zinn. The late historian and author of “A People’s History of The United States” died in January.
