Of course I’m joking, but check out this photo I snapped last evening at Logan. My 800mm lens captured this jumbo jet just after it landed and was beginning its taxiing to Terminal E. The trooper was performing his/her runway check and patrol.

Back Bay Invaded By Flying Machines. With Photos.

Marine Week Boston flew into town this morning, and in a very picturesque way. Helicopters and an Osprey Tilt-Rotor craft landed on Boston Common. I happened to have the day off but wanted to snap some photos anyway, so I grabbed my 800mm telephoto lens and drove to Memorial Drive in Cambridge. I figured this would be a unique view.  The first helicopter had a pilot with an estute sense of aesthetics as he flew right alongside the Prudential Center. Here are my photos of the very pleasant Marine “invasion”. As always, click on photos to make them bigger.

Some Interesting Light After This Evening’s Thunderstorm.

I was hoping to capture a lightning bolt, or two, in my Canon camera this evening. The elusive lightning won, no bolt was captured tonight. The light after the storm however, was very impressive. Here are a few photos I snapped this evening. Thanks for viewing.
