Boston Cops Honor 9-Year-Old Hero: My photos…

It was quite a nice feeling seeing Richard Scott  handling himself so well as the spotlight was aimed at him. The setting was Southie’s Tynan Elementary School, the reason was his vigilance on the afternoon of March 29, as he came to the aid of a lost 5 year old kindergarten student. Richard was flanked by proud Boston police officers and Essex County Deputy Sheriffs who all aided in the search and rescue of the girl, named Paige. I snapped a photo as the cops were escorting a very proud Richard to the school’s auditorium for the 10am ceremony. The bottom photo is Richard comforting Paige prior to the ceremony. Photographed on assignment for a Herald story.

This dolphin, who was found swimming in 8 inches of water, was helped by the New England Aquarium’s rescue team and by longtime Revere Beach resident Carmine Zingariello, who donned a skin tight body suit and comforted the dolphin in the chilly Atlantic waters.
