My fire & ice photos: Boston firefighters work yesterday’s six-alarm fire in Charlestown.

Frigid temperatures and a dangerous windchill hampered Boston firefighters yesterday at the scene of a 6-alarm fire. The building housed 11 residents and a laundromat, which was featured in the Ben Affleck movie, “The Town. My photos were part of my coverage as a staff news photographer at the Boston Herald.

A proud police chief, saddened by the senseless death of MIT officer Sean Collier

MIT Police Chief John DiFava is seen one minute after today’s moment of silence to honor those who died in the Boston Marathon bombings, including MIT police officer Sean Collier. The chief received a hug from one of approximately 200 people that lined the sidewalk in front of the MIT police station to commemorate the horrific event.
